We Don't Track You

No analytics. No tracking pixels. No advertising cookies. We don't know if you opened a text message. We don't profile you. The only cookies used are those required by Stripe for secure checkout and Flask for your account login session.

We Don't Sell Your Data

Your phone number, name, and zip code are yours. We use them to send you a briefing and nothing else. We will never sell or rent your data to anyone. We share your data only with the service providers listed below and when required by law.

What We Collect

• Name — to personalize your briefing ("Good morning, Sarah!")
• Phone number — to send you the briefing and verify your identity
• Zip code — to get your local weather and determine your timezone for 6 AM delivery
• Email address — collected by Stripe during checkout if you choose email plans (coming soon). We do not send marketing emails.
• Billing information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe may collect your name, address, and payment details per their privacy policy.
• Account preferences — your plan, muted topics, and settings
• Text message replies — if you reply STOP, HELP, DELETE, or other keywords, we process and log the response
• Server logs — basic technical logs (IP address, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting, retained for 30 days

What We Don't Collect

• No browsing history
• No location tracking (we use zip code, not GPS)
• No email open tracking
• No click tracking
• No device identifiers
• No advertising identifiers
• No demographic profiling

Third-Party Services

We share your data with the following service providers, only as needed to operate the service:

• Stripe — processes your payment and subscription. Stripe receives your payment information, email, and billing address. Stripe's Privacy Policy applies to payment data.
• Twilio — sends your text messages and processes SMS replies. Twilio receives your phone number and message content. Twilio's Privacy Policy applies to message delivery.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or any other third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Only the minimum data needed to deliver your briefing is retained.

How Long We Keep Your Data

• Active accounts: As long as your subscription is active
• Cancelled accounts: 30 days, then deleted (except where we're legally required to keep records)
• Consent and opt-out records: Retained for 4 years per TCPA requirements, even after account deletion
• Billing records: Retained as required by tax law (typically 3-7 years)
• Server logs: 30 days

Legal Disclosure

We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or government request. We will only disclose the minimum data legally required.

Data Deletion (CCPA / State Privacy Laws)

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. Reply DELETE to any text message, or email supportjustgoodmorning@gmail.com with your phone number. Your data will be deleted within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain (billing records, consent records, and opt-out suppression lists).

Data Access and Correction

You can review and update your information anytime at justgoodmorning.com/account. You can update your zip code at justgoodmorning.com/zip. To correct other information, email supportjustgoodmorning@gmail.com.

Do Not Track Signals

We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because we do not use tracking technology. No tracking means nothing to honor.

Children

Just Good Morning is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, email supportjustgoodmorning@gmail.com and we will delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via text message or email. The updated policy takes effect on the "Last updated" date above.

Service Availability

This service is available to US residents only. We do not knowingly accept signups from outside the United States.
